Earthquakes and tsunamis in Japan, Rob Bell vs. John Piper, radiation leaks from nuclear power plants, ongoing war in Iraq, American economy is struggling, bombings in Libya, gas prices are up, Yemen is in chaos, marriages are in trouble, bombs exploding in the streets of Jerusalem…(big sigh)….(another big deep breath)….(reflective pause)…God is in control, He is on the throne, He is not surprised, He is not taken back, He is not running out of ideas, He is on task, He is sovereign, He reigns, He is God and there is no other, He is God and there is none like Him, He makes known the end from the beginning…He says, “my purpose will stand, and I will do all that I please…What I have said, that I will bring about: what I have planned, that I will do.” (Isaiah 46:9-11)…..(yet another big sigh)…..(breathe again)

Pastor David's Thursday Thoughts 
Keep reminding us! 100 years from now, when we’re hanging together in heaven, remind me again if you sense I’m taking heaven for granted. We still have much to be thankful for today and even more to look forward to. Today… it’s good to remember Who is in control. I think He would say, “I Am.” Thanks for helping us keep it all in perspective.
